Date: August 14, 2025. Location: Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE/FXE). The private Cessna 560XL Citation Excel, with registration N802TD, was on a flight departing from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE). Shortly after takeoff, the crew declared an emergency due to a flight control issue. They were authorized to join the downwind for runway 9 and maintain an altitude of 2,000 feet, but they struggled to control the aircraft and ended up climbing to 9,000 feet. The pilot then announced their plan to divert to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport. The plane descended almost to 900 feet before resuming a climb again. Fortunately, the crew managed to perform another circle and set up for a second approach. The aircraft ultimately landed safely on runway 10L at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (KFLL). Thanks for watching! Your support is very important.
