Has Britain drifted away from its constitutional foundations? In this video, I start with something most politicians never mention: The Act of Settlement 1701. A law originally designed to protect the state from undue foreign influence in governance. So what changed? Over the centuries we’ve seen the introduction of later statutes — including the British Nationality Act 1948 and the British Nationality Act 1981 — alongside reforms to representation and citizenship. The question is: Have these changes strengthened the country — or diluted its constitutional intent? We examine: The debate in Parliament around cousin marriage and cultural norms Whether cultural accommodation has limits Integration vs parallel practice The principle that laws should apply equally to everyone The tension between modern diversity policy and historic constitutional identity We also look at controversial comments in Scotland regarding representation in public institutions, and ask a difficult question: Should public appointments be about competence alone? Or about demographic balancing? This video isn’t about hostility. It’s about: ✔ Law ✔ Culture ✔ Sovereignty ✔ Integration ✔ Constitutional continuity And ultimately: Who decides what this country stands for? 👇 Let me know your thoughts below — respectfully.
