On 10 June, Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport received an unexpected visit from two Netherlands Air Force F-16AM fighter jets from 322 Squadron — POLLY1 (J-631) and POLLY2 (J-871). While on a local training mission over the North Sea, POLLY1 sustained a bird strike, prompting both pilots to divert to Schiphol, which was the nearest and safest airfield for landing. After a safe arrival, J-631 underwent engine replacement on 11 June and departed the following day, 12 June, under the call sign COBRA01.
