#immunitybooster #healthyrecipes #gooseberryrecipe #amla #vitamincfoods #nellikka #നെല്ലിക്ക Ingredients: Gooseberry - 500gms jaggery - 300gms ginger - 1tbsp cardamom powder ghee salt Method of preparation: First steam the gooseberry in a steamer and cook for 10 minutes. Please don't cook the gooseberry in water as the nutrients will get lost. Take 300gms of jaggery and add 1cup of water and boil and sieve. Keep the jaggery syrup aside to cool. In the meantime blend the cooked gooseberry removing the seed in a blender. Now keep a kadai and add 1tbsp of ghee, add chopped ginger, saute it and then add blended gooseberry. Stir well for sometime on low to medium flame then add gradually jaggery water and keep on stirring. To enhance the flavour add 1tsp cardamom powder, salt and again stir well. Keep on adding jaggery water as shown in the video. Finally add 1tbsp of ghee. Once the sweet starts to separate from the sides of the kadai, switch off the flame and keep it aside to cool. Then store it in a clean dry glass bottle and we can keep it in the refrigerator. It is good to take 1tsp of this gooseberry sweet daily for keeping ourselves healthy as amla is a good immunity booster and contains lot of vitamins.
