#Homemade #Fruit #punch #Kompot (#Kampot) 🍓🍇 Old-school comfort 😋 This is one of those recipes you don’t measure with a ruler — you measure with what you have. Kompot is all about using whatever fruit is in your kitchen and adjusting the sweetness to your taste. Fruit Options (Mix & Match) Use any combination of: • Fresh fruit • Frozen fruit • Dried fruit Some favorite combos: • Grapes (red or green, fresh or frozen) • Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries • Apples • Strawberries • Dried blueberries & cranberries Mix them. Match them. Use what needs to be used. This is how I save and reuse fruits 😉 Ingredients: • Mixed fruit (fresh, frozen, dried — your choice) • 1½ gallons water • About 1 cup sugar, or to taste Instructions 1. Add mixed fruit to a large pot. 2. Pour in water, a lot, use a large/ deep soup pot. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer. 👉 I keep the lid on so it doesn’t evaporate — this way I actually get the most of my kompot 😂 4. Add sugar gradually, starting with 1 cup, stirring until dissolved. 5. Taste and adjust — this is where you decide how sweet it should be. 6. Simmer covered for 30–40 minutes, until fruit softens and releases color and flavor. 7. Turn off heat and let cool (or overnight). 8. Strain or leave the fruit in — totally your call. 9. Chill and enjoy. (Yes, the fruit is edible — warm or cold!) Benefits: • Naturally flavored • No artificial sweetness • Full control over how light or rich it is Serving: • Cold & refreshing in summer • Warm & comforting in colder months Luiza’s Tip: There’s no wrong fruit combo here. Sweet, tart, fresh, frozen, or dried — it all works. You’re in charge of the sweetness, not the recipe.
