These buildings are DEADLY. Here's why...

Do you live in one of these buildings? Watch this video to find out! A typical soft story building is a multi-level structure located over a ground level with large openings, usually parking. Soft-story apartment buildings are found almost everywhere in Southern California, and they were all built between 60's and 70's, when the region experienced a large boom in population. I hope that my video simulation will educate the general public about the importance of seismic retrofitting especially in those areas around the globe that are prone to moderate to large earthquakes.
