Ra's al Ghul Tribute

Here’s my tribute for the Demon’s Head better known as Ra’s al Ghul. I personally have always found the guy be pretty interesting since if you think about it, he can actually be quite a sad and depressing character despite being basically a mass-murdering terrorist. He’s lived for centuries and has seen humanity screw up time and time again throughout history until he just can’t take it anymore and thinks he can change things for the better himself. I can’t help but find that compelling or maybe it’s because I’m always drawn to these types of villains for some reason (some others being Sinestro and Ultron). My only problem with this guy is kind of similar to the problem I had with Scarecrow in that his actual character rarely gets explored at all. Usually, whenever he shows up he is just this giant threat for Batman to stop from destroying the world. I think one of the only times where Ra’s was truly sympathetic and his motivations were actually explained more was in Birth of the Demon (which I consider to be one of the most underrated Batman stories out there, I mean you’d think Ra’s al Ghul’s origin story would be mentioned more in media or even other comics but no). It’s sad really because there’s actually a ton of people who think Ra’s a really boring and/or generic villain which is probably because of the way he’s usually used. While he’s mostly been treated well (I mean I can’t think of any portrayal of his that was outright bad), I feel like he still has a lot of untapped potential. I guess I should talk about what I’m going to do about COPPA now. After giving it some thought, I’m actually not going to delete or remove my videos like a lot of other Youtubers are planning to do (at least not for now). Apparently the purpose of this dumb law is to stop people from stealing children information and using it for their own nefarious purposes. And uh...are we doing that? So I actually don’t think they’re going to fine every single person they think marked their videos wrong (which would probably be half of Youtube) because what would be the fucking point of that? I mean last time I checked saying that a Youtube video you made is not for kids isn’t a “crime”. And also the FTC recently put out an announcement saying they’re not going to charge people the full amount of the fine if the person actually doesn’t have the means to pay off that much money (which is pretty good because I seriously don’t think there would be enough money in the world to pay off the full forty two thousand fucking dollars per video fine for everybody). So I’m just going to stay put for now and once 2020 comes around I’ll wait and see what happens before uploading more videos. Keep in mind though that if I actually start hearing that people are getting fined I probably will remove my videos. I also might put age-restrictions on all my videos, we’ll see.
