This proposal comes up in the comments section even if Yoongi isn't around. The "Yoongi, marry me" comment is almost like a tradition that BTS just laughs it off. However, Yoongi still seemed stunned whenever it came up. Yoongi appears to be shocked and embarrassed by these persistent proposals, but he actually brought this matter upon himself. You see, Yoongi tried to be flirty with ARMY in the past by saying he'll propose to them, not realizing that the fandom would take him seriously. Before the "Yoongi, marry me," there was the "I will sue you, Min Yoongi." Yoongi’s legendary fangirl demanded that he take responsibility for being a “dangerous man.” Yoongi got used to the fangirl’s aggressive love and devotion, and he eventually responded to her. ARMY loved their interaction so much that they accepted that nobody could compete with the fangirl. But then she got married, and the race to marry Yoongi started again. The “Yoongi, marry me” meme has appeared everywhere from social media to live events. He just can’t escape it! Sometimes, Yoongi would play along and even drew a heart on the "marriage certificate" that ARMY brought for him to sign. But most of the time, Yoongi would just brush the proposal off.
