A driverless future is within reach and AI holds the promise of safe transportation for all. But with biases inherent in the data used to program the cars of the future, is AI really ready to drive in urban and rural settings? And what do we need to do to make an inclusive future a reality? A "recovering engineer" and "geek lawyer," Jennifer Dukarski leads Butzel’s Automated and Connected Vehicle Team. She focuses her legal practice where technology, communications, and mobility meet. A leader in the area of automated vehicles, she negotiated some of the first robotaxi agreements in the world. A champion of the responsible use of AI, she regularly advises and teaches on AI risk mitigation. She was named one of the 30 Women Defining the Future of Technology by Warner Communications for her innovative thoughts and contributions to the tech industry. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
