"Music washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life." ~ German poet, Berthold Auerbach Our speaker, Kathryn Nicholson, has engaged with music throughout her life in many different ways - as performer, teacher, choral conductor, music therapist - and thus, is well acquainted with the profound power of music to provide comfort, healing, joy and a sense of connection and community. Her experience working in hospice and palliative care for many years also has reinforced her appreciation of the spiritual and emotional refuge that music can offer. The mission of the North Shore Unitarian Church is to empower people to live with greater depth, meaning and purpose.
