Peninsula Care Homes, a family-owned provider operating five care homes across Devon, implemented Radar Healthcare’s quality and risk management platform to strengthen quality assurance, governance and CQC readiness. With more than 23 years' experience supporting older people, Peninsula Care Homes is known for its strong values-led culture and commitment to person-centred, home-from-home care. As the organisation continued to mature, leaders identified the need for greater real-time oversight and consistency across homes, without compromising on culture or frontline care. Like many providers, Peninsula had adopted electronic care planning early. However, the pandemic highlighted gaps in how data was being used to support assurance and decision-making. “We realised we weren’t fully using our data. We needed real-time oversight and confidence in decision-making, not anecdotal reassurance,” said Louise Arnold, Managing Director at Peninsula Care Homes. Previously, audits, incidents and compliance information were spread across paper records, spreadsheets and folders, making evidence gathering time-consuming and improvement actions harder to track.
