Exumas Bahamas - Family Trip - Piper 6XT

Corrie and I flew our Piper 6XT over to Staniel Cay with our two boys, Maverick age 6, and Maximus age 10. The 6XT is basically a station wagon of the sky, and we needed every bit of its cargo capacity to accommodate Corrie's overpacking. This was our first trip back together as a family after a long period of island drama with one of the locals regarding our small Bahamas boat. And after purchasing our island lot two years ago, we've made next to no progress with our small cottage build. The plan was to see how this trip went, whether or not the local continued to hassle us, and then decide whether it was worth it to continue. Fortunately we've been able to part ways with the problematic local, and we've decided to push forward. Outside of time spent clearing our land and fixing up my boat, we went full tourist on this one. But I needed a fun trip with the family to get my motivation and excitement back. Our next step is still the same as it has been for the past two years - charter a shallow water landing craft and have our cargo trailer, ATV, solar equipment, and tools shipped over to begin work.
