A friend of mine design this fly at the Royal Bath and west show in the early 90s. The fly was a pheasant tail with clear pearl over the top as a wing case and tied under the hook for legs. the bath and west was a four day show and the first day he said I'll make you a couple. on day 4, at the end of the day I asked if he had a couple of these flies for me. Oh just run out of hooks. I went fishing down my local trout farm and ever one was hooking fish but me. I asked what fly they were using. everyone was using the same fly they got down the Bath and west. it was the flies my mate tied. After that I tied my own flies and called it the Jacklands.
