Hi besties! I've recently stepped out of my cave to get my hands on some popular fried chicken. I hear fellow Singaporeans mention about this fried chicken before and finally decided to try it. I personally don't enjoy shooting outside anymore for my videos is because of the surroundings, people, talking and copyright music playing in the background. It's impossible to control, so apologies if the sound is way off. This time it's Chic-A-Boo. I believe it's a Singaporean owned restaurant by Astons. Being relatively "new", this would be my first time trying. Thanks to someone for suggesting this fast food joint to me a while back. It's also good to know that all mainstream fast food joints in Singapore are Halal and MUIS-accredited, Chic-A-Boo is no exception. For this video I ordered the following: Hot & Spicy Chicken Set, price SGD$8.90/USD$6.56. This has to be the most affordable fried chicken fast food in Singapore. In this meal, you're allowed to choose 2 sides and a drink. I chose onion rings and curly fries for my sides, and a coke zero. The fried chicken was succulent, tender and so juicy and I believe I've encountered my very first, most tender, fried chicken breast since I've started this channel. It was literally so soft and juicy, absolutely mind blown. Perhaps I was just lucky, because we all know fast food tend to be rather inconsistent. The fried chicken skin was very crispy and delicious. While it's not as professionally marinated like rivals KFC or Jollibee, Chic-A-Boo's fried chicken is definitely worthy of a try, and quite value for money. My rating: 4.5/5. Cheezy Chicken Burger, price SGD$6.50/USD$4.79. This massive chicken burger is worth its every cent. The patty is huge, a generous portion of deep fried chicken thigh goodness(so tender ad juicy). There was less bun than patty which makes this amazing! The only thing I don't like about the burger is the choice of cheese used. It tasted like cheap nachos cheese sauce and it just ruins the entire burger. It would have be perfect if they used a good and simple slice of cheese.
