Build The Italeri 1/9 Triumph Bobber Bratstyle #harleydavidson #notorcyclemodel #scalemodel The fourth motorcycle model is a vintage Triumph. I made it in parallel with the Harley-Davidson that I made last time, but it took a long time because I made it without temporary assembly. The 3HW is based on the 350cc Tiger80, but the production of the T80 ended with the start of WWWII, so it seems that the 3HW was reprinted for war rather than a derivative. Speaking of Triumph, it is a vertical twin, but is this model a single cylinder and a vertical single? Triumph is also famous for movies, with his TR6 in McQueen's Great Escape and his 6T in Marlon Brando's The Wilde one. It looks like both bikes were built for the US at the same time. Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda GB350 are popular in this class these days. *Engine Like the WLA, the Triumph 3HW was also sold to the private sector after the war, so the engine was built in the image of the Tiger 80 of yesteryear. All bolts and shafts have been replaced with wave bolt sets, aluminum, brass pipe and nickel wire. Although it has a displacement of 350cc, it is a single-cylinder engine with a strong presence. The Triumph bore and stroke he is 70*89mm and the compression ratio he is 7.5. Harley WLA is 69.85*96.84mm with a compression ratio of 5. Looking at the model, the Triumph looks longer, but the Harley has a longer stroke. So, which bike is better to experience this Triumph engine feeling on a modern bike? His GB350 from Honda has a 70*90.5 compression ratio of 9.5. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is 72*85.8, 9.5. In fact, it is far from Honda's balancer-equipped engine, including power, but I think the feeling is GB350. *Wheel I used 0.5mm stainless spring wire for the spokes. The nipple is a brass pipe with an inner diameter of 0.6mm. *Front fork WLA is springer, but 3HW is garter suspension. Garter has a longer history, and I think that both WLA and 3HW were active on the European front. I'm happy that both of these suspensions are modeled. *Style Bobbers are from the 40's, cafe racers from the 50's, older trackers are single or twin cylinders, and it seems that modern Brat style is a Japanese Motorcycle -based bobber and cafe racer, tracker. Historically, the bobber at that time was based on a Harley and Triumph twin, but I didn't care and made it just like a bobber. *Painting I made it look custom with silver and black base. *Display base I don't know the British taste, so I made a wild display base with a steel frame made of square lumber (an image of railroad sleepers). *Helmet The kit contain a wartime helmet, so I added goggles and earmuffs to it.
