The 26th November 2022 saw a fun day of heritage trains around Melbourne with three different trains operating trains around the suburbs. In the south east Steamrail Victoria operated two parallel runs with steam locomotives A2 986 & K183, and the Tait's, between Flinders Street and Moorabbin, before operating some shuttles along the Frankston Line. In the west 707 Operations operated the Hobsons Bay Steam Shuttles with steam locomotive R707 and V/Line's A66 along the Werribee Line between Flinders Street and Newport or Laverton. First up we see the Steamrail trains, starting with the Tait's at Yarraville, before seeing A2 986, K183, and the Tait's slowly parallel at Glenhuntly station; which is in the process of being grade separated to remove the level crossing at Glen Huntly Road. We see the steam train overtake the Tait's at Mordialloc, before seeing both trains at Parkdale, Mentone, Hawksburn, and South Kensington. We then see the 707 Operations train with R707 and A66 at various locations along the Werribee Line including Spotswood, Laverton, Seddon, and South Kensington. We finish the video with R707 & A66 passing Footscray as they headed to Geelong for the 707 Operations members train. Subscribe to ThebusofdoomFSX: https://www.youtube.com/user/Thebusof...
