#KalaimamaniDrSunder #MaithreemBhajatha #SankaraTV In Episode 5 of Maithreem Bhajatha, Kalaimamani Dr Sunder is in conversation with Sangeetha Kalanidhi Neyveli Sri Santhanagopalan — an acclaimed Indian Carnatic vocalist who adheres to traditional classicism, composer, and music educator, also proficient in the Veena and Percussion instruments — on 'Raga and Bani in Carnatic Music.' Carnatic music is South India’s classical, vocal-focused tradition rooted in the Sama Veda. It is marked by rich ragas, complex talas, and devotional compositions, shaped by Purandara Dasa and the Trinity—Tyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshitar, and Syama Sastri. This is followed by a Classical kriti with Sanskrit lyrics addressed to Goddess Parvati, the mother of Lord Subrahmanya, by Dr Sunder. Song: Gunijanathi nutha Guruguhodaye Raga: Gurjari Composer: Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar 🔔 Watch more episodes: • MAITHREEM BHAJATHA — TV SERIAL ON UNDERSTA... 🔔 Subscribe to Dr Sunder's YouTube channel: / @drsundersmusic ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Maithreem Bhajatha Maithreem Bhajatha, a television series on Sankara TV, presented by Kalaimamani Dr Sunder, was created to introduce Carnatic music to a wider audience.
