We have a lot of farm fields that we plan on metal detecting this winter. Some are enormous in size that will take us months to complete, and others are incredibly old with several colonial homes that once stood in them, But then there's this one; our incredible Field of 1,000 Holes! Now the items we find at this field are usually 1910's though the 1940's so it certainly aren't our oldest location, but the sheer number of items we pull from here is what keeps us coming back. Before the last planting the farmer did another deep plow, bringing dirt from a foot down right up to the surface so it could be like new again.
