How to craft a story through crafting - what do you focus on, what story do you tell... HOW do you plan ahead when you don't know exactly how the journey (or sometimes even the final garment) is going to look? How long does it take to film and edit a YouTube video when you craft or sew? Today we go behind the scenes and look at some of the steps in the process along the way to getting a final, polished video. We all know that making a garment can take a while from start to finish, but the movie making process -when done right- can make the MAKING of the video itself nearly invisible. If I've done my job well, you aren't thinking about how I'm making my video, but how I'm making a skirt or a blouse... that's a lengthy process in itself, but it takes me MUCH longer to create the videos that you see. So I wanted to bring you behind the scenes and share what you don't see. What I go through to create a YouTube video, my YouTube video making process, while also timing myself to share how long it takes me. This ISN'T about the gear that I use, or the specific angles that I choose.
