Spotlight Virginians: Student Success Stories is a video series that invites you to follow the journey of several young adults with disabilities in Virginia as they share their stories of successful transition outcomes. In this inspiring episode of Spotlight Virginians: Student Success Stories, we follow Daniel’s journey from James Monroe High School to working full-time in the electrical shop at the University of Mary Washington. Through Virginia’s Start on Success (SOS) program, Daniel explored hands-on trades, overcame self-doubt, and discovered his passion and talent for electrical work. Now, he's working toward his journeyman’s license—and mentoring new students to believe in their own potential. What happens when a student finds the right support, opportunity, and belief in themselves? Watch to see how Daniel turned a spark of interest into a bright future. ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– The VCU Center on Transition Innovations is funded by the Virginia Department of Education (881-APE62524-H027A190107).
