'Don't say goodbye' is a song by Viennese composer Robert Stolz with English lyrics by Desmond Carter, from the 1932 show 'Wild Violets'. The Blue Lyres were an offshoot of Ambrose's Orchestra that played at the Dorchester Hotel while Ammy was based at the May-Fair. However, its recordings are the Ambrose orchestra with the violins omitted: some sessions produced sides under both names. Bert Ambrose dir.
