That talking mongoose, Gef, did not just stay at Doarlish Cashen in the hills over Dalby, as he was a regular visitor to Peel, and it was here that some of the most telling stories of him are known. It is widely assumed in the Isle of Man that the stories of the Dalby Spook can be explained away as a simple hoax, but few know that the bus drivers of Peel were so convinced of his existence that they set traps for him under the No.81 bus and in the waiting room of the Peel bus depot. James Franklin here visits the key sites in Peel to explain some of these remarkable things Gef did to so utterly convince those people on the busses.
