A Snowdon sunrise has been on my list of things to capture for several years. Snowdon, Yr Wyddfa in Welsh, is the highest mountain in Wales and is well worth a visit as one of the most famous and recognizable landmarks. We hiked up the day before as the forecast overnight was looking promising, heading up the Watkins path around 3pm and reached the summit just in time to witness a fantastic sunset. We set up camp just below the summit and woke up just before sunrise unzipping the tent to this spectacular view. I couldn't have wished for better conditions, strong winds mixed with the morning mist added spectacular layers and depth to the dramatic landscape. 30 minutes after the sunrise the cloud lifted and revealed Snowdonia in the distance. A truly breathtaking experience and a personal challenge Ill never forget. For those interested, the film was captured using a DJI Inspire 2 drone carrying an X7 super 35mm camera.
