Dining Out 외식 [희망] By Park ki bum ​Evening came even though we told it not to, and the wind wept first inside the empty rice jar. ​The full-term belly swelled like the moon, roundly illuminating the impoverished room. The husband was a man who shook off the dawn’s dust and walked toward the workplace. ​The wife sat down on the kitchen floor like winter itself, quietly crumbling away. ​That was when the husband spoke: "Let’s go eat some Galbi (ribs)." Those words were not pulled from a pocket, but were sparks drawn from his heart. ​Under the bright lights of the supermarket, at the sampling stand, a single small piece of meat. As the wife chewed it, she swallowed her tears. ​For a brief moment, the world became the scent of warm soup, as they returned home, leaning on each other’s shoulders. ​The five packs of ramen in the plastic bag were as red as the evening glow. ​ 외식 박기범 저녁은 오지 마라고 해도 찾아오고 빈 쌀독 속에 바람이 먼저 와서 울었다 만삭의 배는 달처럼 부풀어 가난한 방 안을 둥글게 비추었고 남편은 새벽의 먼지를 털어 입고 일터로 걸어가던 사람 아내는 부엌 바닥에 겨울처럼 주저앉아 조용히 무너졌다 그때 남편이 말했다 갈비 먹으러 가자 그 말은 주머니가 아니라 심장에서 꺼낸 불씨였다 마트의 불빛 아래 시식대 위에 놓인 작은 고기 한 점 아내는 그것을 씹으며 눈물을 삼켰다 이 세상은 잠시 따뜻한 국물 냄새가 되었고 어깨로 의지하며 돌아오는 길 봉지 속 라면 다섯 개가 저녁노을처럼 붉었다 ​
