This Steinway 1921 Ebony Satin Model O was restored at Farley's House of Pianos, the Midwest’s premier piano restoration workshop. Visit our showroom in Madison, WI to experience the piano yourself. Introduced in late 1900, production of the O model was discontinued in the United States in 1923 at which time it was replaced in the form of the new model L. Approximately the same size as the O model, the L introduced a more squared-off tail, allowing for a wider soundboard. The base is powerful and plummy, while the treble is quite clear and pristine. Steinway NY resumed production of the O in 2005. Ryan Grippo, piano instructor at Farley's House of Pianos, performs Chopin's Prelude, Op. 28, No. 13.
