When Nature Says No – Our Gasherbrum II Journey

Gasherbrum II summer Expedition 2025 | Challenging Conditions & True Team Spirit ❄️🏔️​⁠‪@Saila_mingma‬ | ‪@BEYOND_8000FILMS‬ This year, our team managed to cross dangerous crevasses, but the avalanche risk was too high, so we had to cancel the expedition near Camp 3 for safety. Even though we didn’t reach the summit, the team was incredibly strong, pushing forward until the very end — a true example of determination and teamwork in the mountains. In mountaineering, success is never 100% guaranteed. I believe it’s a mix of: • 20% in nature, • 30% in the guide’s skills, • 50% in your own belief and determination. Despite not summiting Gasherbrum II, the journey was unforgettable, including my summit of Gasherbrum I without supplemental oxygen while guiding a client. These mountains always teach you lessons beyond the peak itself.
