ALTERNATIVE ROUTINE IF MINE DOESNT WORK Hyperpigmentation Skincare Routine Hyperpigmentation happens when excess melanin creates dark spots or uneven skin tone. A good routine focuses on exfoliation, brightening, sun protection, and hydration. ⸻ Morning Routine ☀️ 1. Gentle Cleanser (Removes dirt & oil without stripping skin) • Example: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (for dry skin) or La Roche-Posay Purifying Cleanser (for oily skin). 2. Vitamin C Serum (Fights dark spots & boosts glow) • Example: SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic, Naturium Vitamin C Complex, or The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%. 3. Hydrating Serum (Optional, if skin feels dry) • Example: Hyaluronic acid (The Ordinary, COSRX Snail Mucin). 4. Moisturizer (Locks in hydration & strengthens skin barrier) • Example: CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion, Neutrogena Hydro Boost. 5. Sunscreen (SPF 50+) (Most important step! Prevents spots from getting darker) • Example: La Roche-Posay Anthelios, Black Girl Sunscreen, Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. ⸻ Night Routine 🌙 1. Gentle Cleanser (Same as morning) 2. Exfoliating Toner (2-3x a week) (Removes dead skin & fades pigmentation) • Example: The Ordinary Glycolic Acid, Paula’s Choice BHA Liquid. 3. Targeted Treatment (Choose one or mix carefully) • Niacinamide (Reduces dark spots & controls oil) → The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc. • Alpha Arbutin (Great for stubborn pigmentation) → The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA. • Tranexamic Acid (Good for melasma) → Naturium Tranexamic Topical Acid. • Retinol (2-3x a week) (Speeds up cell turnover & fades marks) • Example: CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol, The Ordinary Retinol 0.5%. 4.
