[LIVE] PONIES BEING SEIZED IN TAFELSIG Inspectors of the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, with the assistance of the City of Cape Town Law Enforcement: Animal Control Unit, are seizing ponies from a property in Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain. The owner has been issued with several warnings to improve the living conditions of the ponies and to provide the ponies with sufficient feed. The warnings fell on deaf ears and this resulted in our Inspectors obtaining a court order in terms of the Animals Protection Act to seize the ponies. The owner will now be facing charges of animal cruelty. A full story with an update to follow in due course. It costs the SPCA an average of R1000 to care for a single equine in our Horse Care Unit.
