In Episode 11, Q7 Beckett explores the deep spiritual connections shared across Indigenous cultures of the world, and how spirituality is inseparable from land, animals, food, and belief systems. Drawing parallels between Bushman spirituality and global Indigenous traditions, Q7 explains how animals were once sacred teachers of respect, balance, and responsibility. Elephants, revered in Bushman cosmology, reflect the same sacred symbolism as Ganesh in India. Across cultures, animals were not worshipped as symbols, but respected as carriers of knowledge, spirituality, and ecological order. Q7 argues that climate change is not just an environmental crisis, but a spiritual one. Indigenous belief systems protected nature, regulated hunting, preserved balance, and sustained life for thousands of years. The abandonment of these systems, replaced by industrial religion, corporate food systems, and extractive economies, has broken humanity’s relationship with Earth. The episode confronts the violence of industrial agriculture, genetically modified seeds, corporate control of farming, and the loss of heirloom and open pollinated seeds. Q7 speaks powerfully about how food has become anti spiritual, controlled by corporations rather than communities, and how this has led to debt, poverty, farmer suicides, sickness, and cultural collapse. For Q7, spiritual food is not organic branding or market labels. Spiritual food is seed sovereignty, ancestral knowledge, soil respect, and the right to choose what enters the body and the land. He calls for the protection of Indigenous seeds, Indigenous languages, Indigenous farming systems, and Indigenous control over food systems. Episode 11 is a warning and a call to action. Humanity is no longer dying by weapons or war alone. We are dying by what we eat. And the greatest form of resistance is remembering how to feed the future spiritually, ethically, and ancestrally.
