[synopsis] XLIII. — Veronika Reutz Drobnić 29. 9. 2025 Skladateljica Veronika Reutz Drobnić v pogovoru z Nežo Zupanc Gantar. / Composer Veronika Reutz Drobnić in conversation with Neža Zupanc Gantar. Veronika Reutz Drobnić is a distinguished composer and performer of contemporary music, recognized for her experimental work with non-traditional and visual scores, as well as compositions that incorporate pre-existing materials. Her performances often integrate improvisation and performative elements, creating a unique and engaging artistic experience. She began her studies at the Music Academy in Zagreb, then completed her Bachelor’s degree at HDMK Stuttgart, studying under Martin Schüttler, Jennifer Walshe, and Joanna Bailie. Veronika continued her education with a Master’s degree at HfM Karlsruhe, learning from Markus Hechtle and Wolfgang Rihm, and furthered her training at Kunitachi College of Music with Motoharu Kawashima. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate at ZHdK Zürich and HfM Karlsruhe, supervised by Marlon Schumacher and Rama Gottfried. Veronika’s works have been performed internationally at esteemed festivals, including IMPULS (Germany), Suntory Hall Summer (Japan), Music Biennale Zagreb (Croatia), Oak Bay Festival (Canada), and Agorà Forum & Sounds (Italy). Her innovative contributions have been recognized through numerous scholarships and grants such as the BW Stipendium, ZONTA stipend for women in music, GdF grant, PROMOS grant, and the Deutschlandstipendium. She has also won several major prizes, including awards from the Suntory Hall Composition Competition (Japan), Oak Bay Competition (Canada), Salastina Prize (USA), Female Affairs Residency and Composition Prize, and the SWR Orchestral Composition Workshop. https://veronikareutz.com/ www.abeceda.io
