[synopsis] XXXIX. — Mattia Aisemberg-Pham 26. 8. 2025 Skladatelji in instrumentalist Mattia Aisemberg-Pham v pogovoru z Nežo Zupanc Gantar. / Composer and Instrumentalist Mattia Aisemberg-Pham in conversation with Neža Zupanc Gantar. Mattia Aisemberg-Pham is a Berlin-based composer and pianist. He completed his musical education at the University of the Arts Berlin, where he studied classical piano with Lucas Blondeel and instrumental pedagogy. He later pursued composition and music theory under the guidance of Manolis Vlitakis and Tom Rojo Poller. Currently, he is expanding his studies through an Erasmus semester at the CNSMD Lyon, working with Aurélien Dumont. In his music Mattia Aisemberg-Pham focuses on texture, color, materiality and corporality. His work is driven by a search for intimate and intense timbral and harmonic combinations, alongside a deep reflection on form and perception. Increasingly, his compositions incorporate elements from other art forms such as literature, film or dance. Recent works have included collaborations with visual artists and dancers. In 2022, his piece Les mots dans la gorge earned him the federal prize at the composition competition Jugend Komponiert. Building on this achievement, he was commissioned in 2023 to compose a solo piece for the Re-sonanz new music festival in Brandenburg and was awarded residencies by the Schloss Wiepersdorf Cultural Foundation and the Centre Dürrenmatt in Neuchâtel. In 2024, he was commissioned to compose an ensemble piece for the Mehrlicht!Musik Festival in Berlin and presented collaborative video and electronic music works at exhibitions throughout the year in venues such as Kunsthaus Mitte and Aktionshaus Berlin. The following year, 2025, began with a commission to compose an ensemble piece for the Empreintes festival in Lyon, as well as for the abeceda festival in Bled, Slovenia and the Divertimento Ensemble as part of the IDEA international workshop for young composers. / @mattia.a_p www.abeceda.io
