This time I'm showing you all of the pre-hyper giant ring locations in the very first zone of the 2nd half of the game, Mushroom Hill. Click "Show More" for further info and time stamps! Giant Rings: Mushroom Hill Zone - Act 1 0:49 - Super Ring #1 1:42 - Super Ring #2 2:09 - Super Ring #3 2:31 - Super Ring #4 Mushroom Hill Zone - Act 2 3:05 - Super Ring #5 3:28 - Super Ring #6 4:10 - Super Ring #7 4:36 - Super Ring #8 4:57 - Super Ring #9 "Hyper Rings" are giant rings from Knuckles' route which are blocked by barriers only destructible by Knuckles himself. There are only two of these in this zone and they require Sonic's Hyper form in order to be entered, which of course can't be accessed without the Super Emeralds, thus I did not show them. It is easiest to perform in Hydrocity, on the water slides in Act 2, although they are much easier because they are steeper. Here in Mushroom Hill, the input required for the clip to happen is very precise; if the jump is too high, the character will end up failing and back on the slope. I do not know the specifics of the hop necessary to reach Super Ring #8, but I believe it must be short enough for the character to get pushed downward by the collision box of the loop once he's under it.
