Ingredients: Moong Dal: 1 cup Onion: 1 medium size (chopped) Tomato: 1 medium size (chopped) Chilli Garlic Ginger: 2 tsp (chopped) Turmaric Powder: ½ tsp Chilli Powder: 1 tsp Garam Masala: 1 tsp Coriander Powder: 1 tsp Salt: As per taste Asadoetida: 1 tsp Dry Chilli: 2-3 nos Bay Leaf: 2-3 nos Spinach : 1 bowl Lemon Juice: 1 tsp Cumin: ¼ tsp Ghee: 2-3 tsp Oil: 2 tsp Coriander Leaves Method: 1. In a bowl add moong dal and wash it 2-3 times. Add a glass of water and soak it for 20-25 minutes. 2. Now transfer the drained dal into pressure cooker. Add a glass of water, salt and turmaric powder in it and mix it well.Then cover the lid and cook it on a medium flame for 3 whistles. 3. In hot water add spinch and boil it for 2-3 minutes. After that immediately add it into the cold water. Then add the palak in the mixture jar and make fine puree. 4. In a pan heat the ghee and oil then add cumin seed. Once it crackles add asadoetida, chilli garlic ginger paste and saute it for 30 seconds. Now add Chopped onion and saute it for 3-4 minutes on a medium flame until it becomes light golden brown. After that add chopped tomatoes. 5. Then add turmaric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt. Mix them well. Add some water and cook it 2-3 minutes on low to medium flame so that tomatoes becomes soft. 6. Now add boiled dal in it and mix them well. Add some water and mix nicely. Cook for it 2-3 minutes on a medium flame. Then add palak puree and mix nicely. Cook it only 2 minutes. In the last add lemon juice and mix it well. 7. To make Tadka in the pan add ghee once it heated add cumin seeds asafoetida, dry red chilli, bay leaf and chilli ginger garlic paste. Mix them well. Now switch of the gas flame and in the last add red chilli powder in the tadka. Mix it well. Now add tadka on the dal. Here your Dal palak is ready to serve.
