Solving a 120 Year Old MYSTERY! The Modern Expert Playing Cards

If you’re into magic or any kind of card related art form, you’re probably familiar with the iconic book titled “the expert at the card table” and by extension means you’re probably familiar with S.W. Erdnase. Wait- See, no one is ACTUALLY familiar with Erdnase because… well- In 1902, an anonymous author with infinite wisdom on the art of sleight of hand and card manipulation published a book of unknown origin which gave highly detailed instructions on, MANY, sleights and moves that you’ve definitely seen out in the wild. The original book is over 120 years old and since it’s release has dawned the title of “the magic bible” Big title for a guy nobody knew- but some folks have since used the power of critical thinking, and of course, the internet- to deduce that S.W. Erdnase spelled back words makes out the name S.W. Andrews- interestingly, that’s also the name of know magician working in that time period. And are we the only ones who think Andrews must’ve been one hell of a magician to be accused of writing such a robust book? We hope not- So, What we want to do is offer you a reprinted copy of the book with a modern and minimal design that is small enough to come along to wherever the magic takes you The book takes Erdnase’s timeless works and updated the design as well as being accompanied by 2 decks of playing cards. One deck which comes in a beautiful deep forest green in the tradition of the original print of the expert at the card table. This version of the deck, called the Erdnase edition, honors the mystery behind the books origin. You’re also going to get a nice sleek and clean black colorway which pays out homage to the theory of our man in the shadows- E.S. Andrews. The book, and the two decks will come packaged together in this incredible magnetic box which features handwritten messages written by myself and Jaren for our wonderful supporters. This project is made out of love for the book, love for the art, and love for the future of magic.
