The AWS (W1343) booth is always one of the busiest spots at NAB and this year has been no different. With a varity of live-cloud and AI-based demos, 27 customer and partner sessions at the AWS Theater, and a builder zone (a services-specific set of demos and experts, to help attendees that prefer to build bespoke solutions) at the booth, there is certainly plenty to see. Julie Souza, the company's Global Head of Sports, chatted with SVG's Jason Dachman at the booth, discussing how live cloud production has matured significantly—from being experimental a few years ago to now being widely adopted by leagues and broadcasters. AWS is showcasing a live cloud production demo where attendees race F1 simulators located just outside West Hall and participate in interviews – all produced in real time using AWS tools. In addition, Generative AI (Gen AI) is becoming a powerful tool in sports production, helping drive both efficiency and storytelling. With that in mind, TwelveLabs' multimodal foundation models, Marengo and Pegasus, will soon be available in AWS's Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service that offers developers access to high-performing models from leading AI companies through a single API. In addition, Agentic AI tools are enhancing production workflows by surfacing real-time insights. During the show, Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports Europe announced the launch of Cycling Central Intelligence (CCI), an innovative generative AI-powered platform developed in collaboration with AWS, that transforms how mountain biking events are brought to viewers worldwide.
