Walking the scenic backroads less traveled from Oakland to San Francisco, this multi-day thru-walk showcases hidden gems and unique sights across the San Francisco Bay Area. Starting in vibrant Oakland, I weave through Emeryville, Berkeley, Richmond (crossing the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge), and the North Bay towns of San Rafael, Larkspur, and Mill Valley before crossing the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco. This film is for hikers, walkers, and explorers drawn to long-distance routes and overlooked paths near familiar destinations. Along the way, I uncover local history, sweeping views, and unexpected spaces that reveal a different perspective on these well-loved cities. Whether you're a seasoned thru-hiker or a Bay Area resident looking for your next adventure, this walk captures the spirit of slow travel. And, of course, the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge.
