It's mid-August, we're just outside of Harrisburg on the Harrisburg Mainline, and with practically no time to railfan we luck out and get two trains at once - and two trains I don't normally get to see in my area! 10K and 11N are both mixed-freight by designation, 11N does seem to carry a fair bit of automotive traffic (in this direction, empty). Interestingly, I did catch another 10K the next morning, so it's not clear to me if this one was really late or the other was really early! I like this spot, it's in a place called Hummelstown, PA. It's just a few miles east of Harrisburg. I do expect this won't be my last time in the Harrisburg area, so let me know - what are your favorite railfanning spots in the area?
