Now with Princess Mycella in his arms for the 3rd time, Musashi brings the both of them to Gandrake's location within his headquarters of Rampart Isle. It's actually under the area where he and Clochette had their meetings with his directors. By the time they make it to him, Mycella can stand up, again. -------------- Apparently, Musashi was late for his fight with Gandrake. But why would he bring this up all of a sudden? He reveals the truth about himself. You... uhhh... Might wanna keep track of this. Gandrake actually came from the same world Musashi was transported from, where he was known as a samurai called Ganryu, a name that was far well-known in Musashi's world. After encountering the Archnebulus, he had a change of thought. He used the material known as Nebulite to become the founder & president of Gandrake Enterprises. The Archnebulus itself is a being that transcends human comprehension. His soul eventually fused with Gandrake's and now it's as if they think and act as one. With this in mind, they plan to use the combined power of the Mystics, the Five Swords, all of the nebulite they can find, and themselves to rebuild the world into their own pure image. Anyway that opposes their plan will be killed by them. -------------- This actually goes even deeper for the game's story than it managed to explain, here, and I've been able to discover how. Gandrake's full real name is Kojiro "Ganryu" Sasaki, and the Archnebulus is actually a seal for a demon Goddess of Destruction known as Amestris. She discovered Ganryu in his home world and tricked him into breaking her seal. Although she's still trapped inside the Archnebulus, this allowed Amestris to brainwash Ganryu and make him into her pawn, Gandrake. Now up to bat to this point, Gandrake will now use Amestris' powers to transform into Dark Musashi. Not only that, but because of how Musashi had to free Mycella this time, Gandrake will use all of Musashi's Five Swords against him in this form! "Not good..." -------------- Luckily, Mycella has her own plan to help Musashi during the fight. If you carry her, she'll slowly heal your HP, but if you drag this out for far too long, she'll get tired and stop. When you're not carrying her, she'll run out of the way from your fight to keep a safe distance. As Dark Musashi, Gandrake will wield each of your Five Swords in the same order you got them in the first place while glowing of that sword's element: Earth (Green), Water (Blue), Fire (Red), Wind (White), and Void (Purple). He'll first equip the sword, fly across the floor a few times, then run up to you for a 5-Hit Combo. Then he'll back off and perform his current sword's Latent Power, which you can either dodge or counter. Then he'll throw out another 5-Hit Combo. -------------- The main goal of this boss is to keep bringing his health down to 0 to knock out every elemental sword he has from his grasp, then picking that sword up from the ground before he rushes over to do that, first. Follow the video for the different openings and opportunities I have towards landing some hits on him. This fight is actually kinda easy once you get the hang of it. Dark Musashi is defeated once you get all 5 of your Elemental Swords back! So do so, and Gandrake will then do something that I never saw coming back when I first played this game years ago...
