There’s a weird strip of land on the West Arm of Kootenay Lake in the small city of Nelson, BC, Canada that runs parallel to the shoreline, the train tracks, the back of the mall, the snowplow yard, the airport runway & the Crowsnest Highway through which you can walk from one end of the downtown waterfront to the airport hangars at the Norman Stubbs Airfield without interruption, where it still feels like you’re way out in the country many decades ago:) This part of town won’t be like this forever, as there’s already a new development in the Kutenai Landing property that was never made for decades, which is the sign of things to come in a tight valley that doesn’t have a lot of room for development! We’re middle-aged adventure walkers who like to share our walking videos with you as we travel around, documenting our walks as ‘walkumentarians’.
