This race was amazing, from the time spent in the town of Avalon, and up on through the hills of Catalina Island, this race has so much to offer someone looking for a scenic and challenging half-marathon. In this video, we take it from the start on Sumner Ave. all the way to the top of the massive hill and back again, and all with some amazing views. I ran this race a week ago, and just can't get the experience out of my mind. This trail race is absolutely terrific! For anyone looking for an awesome run with awesome people, this is it! So put this race (or any other Catalina Island race) on your list and get to it sooner or later. I feel like we lucked out with weather in 2023 as it was a gorgeous day with barely any clouds in site. It was the perfect day for a trail run! I hope my wife and I can do this race again someday soon. It was a wonderful weekend!
