Research Integrity and Ethics Series (Session 3): Biological and Environmental Safety

This session will include 2 short presentations by Prof Samantha Sampson, Chair: Research Ethics Committee: Biological and Environmental Safety (REC: BES) and Mr Winston A Beukes, Coordinator: Research Ethics (Animal Use and Biosafety), which will provide an introduction and an overview of Stellenbosch University’s (SU) Biosafety program and why it is important. It will outline the scope and function of the REC: BES and policies & procedures relevant to Biosafety. Thereafter, the floor will be open for discussion. We encourage participants to use this opportunity to discuss and ask questions about the SUs support structures in place for Biosafety.
