If you are really an avid subscribers of my channel you might remember I've already teased you with some footage of this test mule being driven at Monza Circuit during some test days by Kateyama. I incredibly managed to record it on three different occasions (in three different months: February, March and April) but I preferred to wait for some official release before uploading a video entirely dedicated. Finally something has been revealed yesterday. Of course I was already aware the car was some sort of track-only and hardcore Dallara Stradale, which is the first road-legal car made by the Italian brand, famous all over the world mostly for its motorsport history as chassis builder. The 'standard' Stradale (which in Italian means 'road-legal') was unveiled in late 2017 and it's powered by a modified EcoBoost 2.3-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (the one used in the Ford Focus RS Mk3 or in the Ford Mustang EcoBoost) which is able to produce 400hp and 500Nm of torque on a car that weighs only 855 Kg. The street legal car can be both with a manual or an optional automatic (automated-manual) transmission with paddle shifters. 0-100 acceleration should be around 3.25 seconds and top speed around 280 Km/h. The Stradale comes as a Barchetta sportscar but it can be converted to either a Coupé or a Targa car. To increase downforce and performance on track it can also come with a rear wing. But these figures must be substantially different on the car you see in this video. First of all, yesterday's unveil wasn't an actual unveil. More like a sort of ''hey guys, we're developing this weapon that will be relased in the future'' so the most important technical data are still missing. They called it Dallara EXP and the only announced specs are its dry weight of just 890kg, it can achieve cornering values greater than 2.7 lateral Gs and an aerodynamic load of 1,250kg at high speeds. Nothing more has been revealed. From my point of view and first-person experience during those test days I can assume the engine is always the same 2.3 Ford-derived with more power than the 400hp of the 'stock' Stradale and it was linked to the optional 6-speed automated manual transmission. As you can see there are some little dive planes hiding on the camo livery in the front bumper and some openings above the front wheels to give an extra exit to hot air coming from the brakes. Rear wing is way bigger than the optional one that can be fitted on the standard Stradale and the rear part of the car has a single central exhaust plus a bigger diffuser. Brakes are also bigger and, being track-only, it was fitted with slick tyres. In terms of performance, I was (and still I am) incredibly impressed. Unfortunately I don't have any official lap times but, since I was able to get an optical idea thanks to other cars which were testing on the same days and for which I have lap times, I think they are very promising for such a car on a track like Monza. I don't know how much they were pushing the EXP but seeing a Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo (which was driving on the low 1'49'' when the EXP was on track) hardly approaching the Dallara after 3 laps or a Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 (yellow one, setting kinda slow laps for a GT3-class racer between 1'50''/1'51'') and which after 5 laps was unable to get close to the Dallara, I'm pretty sure this EXP is able to set times under the 1'50'' on the Italian track. But these are just my suppositions. Can't wait to see the official presentation and the reveal of more data! #Dallara #DallaraStradaleEXP #DallaraStradale ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have to thank my friend and youtuber @Italiansupercarvideo for the great collaboration done during the event.
