WORKING WITH THE ELEMENT OF WATER: Magical properties of water and how to work with them

The last few weeks I have been called by the element of water. So, in this video I am going to talk about the practice of working with this particular element. If you follow a magical or earth-based path, you are likely to be working with the elements. Maybe you are drawn to work with water more consciously or l have been called by it. And if you are new to this practice – hopefully this video will give you some ideas on how to work collaboratively with this elemental power. The traditional four elements of fire, water, earth and air are fundamental to our very life. Our modern life has disconnected us from our relationship with the elements. No longer do we need to make our own fire, go and gather our water or even plant our own food. Our ancestors did and their relationship and respect of them were paramount for their very survival. They were so connected to them, they developed ritual practices to harness their energy and power. Following an earth based or magical practice helps us to reconnect with the elements. We get to develop our relationship with each and understand it from a very deep level. We know that as life giving as each element is, they have the power of destruction and must be respected in our magical workings. I am very lucky there are so many wonderful natural and magical sources of water near by. I live on this beautiful lake and get to connect with the element of water every day. It’s a short drive to the ocean and glacial rivers that have made up the ritual landscape of Vancouver Island for thousands of years. In this video you will hear about some of my magical practices. If you are unable to get to a natural water source – don’t worry as you can still work with the element of water regardless.
