Did I just make up a word - “finagle?” Or use it in the wrong context? What I’m doing at 5 weeks: 1. Started PT on March 3rd. Doing it twice a week, three sessions so far. My therapist Mario does passive ROM movements and stretches for 15-20 min, sometimes pushing it to the point of wincing, “oooow”-ing, hissing, cursing—all that. But the pain is about 8/10, which is doable. I also get 20 min of heat. Tips: I highly recommend doing all the homework per PT orders. At home, I do pendulum swings every two hours and heat three times a day for twenty minutes. 2. Have not gone back to work like I thought I would. Gotta work out some HR stuff. 3. I was able to put on a regular T-shirt! I had to wiggle in it a bit, but barely any pain. Looks like minimal button-down and zip-up jackets from now on. 4. Forgot to mention I'm driving more and feeling pretty comfortable with it. Misc: I use the sling about 30% in the house, 100% outside (especially driving). Sleeping is still a challenge on the recliner, but not horrible. Still no pain meds or ice; now acupuncture and heat. I also walk at least 10k steps a day (exercise is good!). Bottom line: I’m feeling great about my progress!
