FOLLOWERS of CHRIST… can only LEAD OTHERS RIGHT… AFTER LEARNING to FOLLOW WELL v. 10b-11 John 14:12-14 (NIV) The word FOLLOWED in GREEK is… “AKOLOUTHEO”. It means - go after, go along with, obey, be a disciple Matthew 28:16-20 (NIV) The word DISCIPLES in GREEK is… “MATHETEUO”. It means - to cause people to become FOLLOWERS Luke 9:23-26 (NIV) FOLLOWING Jesus requires self-denial, complete dedication, and willing obedience. 1 Kings 19:19-21 (NIV) There’s a GREATER ANOINTING WAITING for those who are WILLING to LEAVE EVERYTHING… and FOLLOW JESUS! How can you make disciples… if you’re not a disciple? How can you lead others to follow Jesus… if you’re not following Him? You can NOT reproduce what you’re not! You can NOT take people where you have NOT been! You will only reproduce WHAT YOU ARE! Followers of Christ will produce more followers of Christ. There’s no such thing as following Jesus part-time! v. 4 Ezekiel 47:1-6 (NKJV) 1. Ankle deep 2. Knee deep 3. Waist deep 4. DEEP END - (Followers/Disciples) The LIFE is in the DEEP END! It’s time to FOLLOW CHRIST into the DEEP END… so we can let down our nets and reach people… and make DISCIPLES! 1 Corinthians 11:1 (MEV) How can you become LIKE Jesus… if you’re NOT FOLLOWING Him? FOLLOWERS MULTIPLY! And At The Avenue… We don’t maintain… we MULTIPLY! HERE’S THE BIG IDEA… FOLLOWING Jesus will COST you EVERYTHING… but the MIRACLES you’ll get to EXPERIENCE are PRICELESS! There is NO VALUE that can be placed on getting to LEAD someone else to JESUS!
