ITB sync on a Ferrari F355 sounds intimidating—but it doesn’t have to be. Let’s break it down and make it simple. 👉 Want to see more from the world of Ferrari? Check out more videos here: • The World of Ferrari Now that we’ve got the engine back up and running, there’s one last detail to take care of before I can call this major service on the F355 complete. Today we’re dealing with one of the coolest—and most unique—features of the Ferrari F355: its independent throttle bodies. The F355 is in some pretty elite company here. It’s one of only three road-going Ferraris to come from the factory with ITBs—the other two being the F40 and F50. That’s some serious pedigree, and it’s one of the reasons this car has so much character. Before I wrap up this timing belt service, I need to go through and check the ITB synchronization. Personally, I think this should be part of every major service on these cars. Making sure the throttle bodies are properly synced plays a huge role in how the car runs—things like idle quality, throttle response, and overall drivability all depend on it. Ferrari does outline a procedure in the workshop manual for how to balance the ITBs, but honestly, it’s pretty rough to follow. Years ago, I rewrote it into my own reference sheet in plain language that actually makes sense. In this video, I’ll walk you through how I go about checking and adjusting the ITBs on the Ferrari F355, what tools I use, and the method I’ve developed over the years. It’s a really satisfying step and one that brings the whole major service together. Whether you're a Ferrari enthusiast, considering a pre-purchase inspection, or just curious about the level of detail required to maintain a classic like the F355, this video is a must-watch.
