The UpPrize Challenges

UpPrize, BNY Mellon Social Innovation Challenge, is a competition for entrepreneurs working to solve important problems of our day. UpPrize is an initiative of BNY Mellon and the BNY Mellon Foundation of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and presented in partnership with The Forbes Funds. UpPrize is about connecting the needs of our community with the creative talent already within it. Our team of researchers worked with more than 100 local nonprofit organizations to identify the areas in which innovation can make a measurable difference in improving the lives of our neighbors. All entrepreneurs, from start-ups to well-established firms are invited to submit a solution to any of the three UpPrize challenges.
