4/20/16- Post-Workout Shake RECIPE •When you finish your workout your body is gonna be battling some inflammation. The best type of stuff to put in your body to aid it are nutrient-dense foods. Which is why I am sharing this post-workout shake with you today. Enjoy! PS- You don't have to be vegan or plant-based to work this shake into your diet I recommend it to everyone. •Sorry about the long clip in the beginning for those solely interested in the recipe but I thought it was a great segue into this video. Sadhguru has some great outlooks on how to not only manage our diet, but go about every day life. For the full video check out this link: Sadhguru Talks About How To Eat: • Sadhguru talks about how to eat 3 TIPS TO KNOW ***************** •1st Tip- I ate a POST-WORKOUT MEAL right after this shake which included: A.) Cold quinoa with garbanzo beans, cucumber, onions, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, arugula, seasonings B.) 1 Sweet Potato with cinnamon and cashew butter C.) 1 Stack of Buckwheat/wheat germ pancakes with strawberries and maple syrup (video on this?) •2nd Tip- This type of shake is going to have a low caloric density. If you want to gain weight, you are going to have to go ham with the calories. So it is imperative that you don't treat this as a "meal replacement" and follow it up with a meal soon after. •3rd Tip- This shake was my first attempt at a vegan shake so I am going to experiment with ways to get more calories into my shakes as I go along that will include all types of different fruits and vegetable mash-ups I can think of. •RECOMMENDED RECIPE FOR THE SHAKE 5-6 CUPS SPINACH/BROCCOLI = 200+ calories 6-12 OZ RASPBERRIES = 90-180 calories 6-12 OZ BLUEBERRIES = 98-196 calories •RECIPE REPLACEMENTS: *************************** 3 Suggestions to sub for BROCCOLI/SPINACH: Kale, Collard Greens, Cauliflower 3 Suggestions to sub for BLUEBERRIES/RASPBERRIES...
