Ethan Page & Josh Alexander started their Tag Team venture wrestling as Monster Mafia. They got their start working for smaller Canadian & Northeast US Indies. They seemingly got their first home at AAW in 2013, where they became a staple in their Tag Division. They wrestled the Young Bucks at IWL in September of 2013, beating them and capturing the IWL Tag Team Titles. This match and their rematch at IWL about a year later, would earn them a chance at PWG in 2015. They would wrestle the Young Bucks again in an action-packed PWG bout, that would earn them a spot at that year's DDT4. They captured the PWG World Tag Team Titles in the First Round, but were eliminated by The Beaver Boys (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) in the Semi-Finals and lost them. Monster Mafia seemingly had their last match in July 2015, when Josh Alexander retired from Pro Wrestling to get neck surgery. You know wrestling retirements though, they never last, & Josh returned less than a year later. They only tagged a couple times the next couple years, before returning to full-time tagging again in late-2017. It was full steam ahead for them at this point, wrestling at Alpha-1, C4, Greektown Pro & even returned to AAW. They even crosses the seas and had a few matches in Europe. 2019 was their breakout year, as they were signed to Impact Wrestling and were rebranded as "The North". They would go on to feud with LAX (Santana & Ortiz) & even the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley). They would also capture the TNA World Tag Titles on two separate occasions, with their first run earning them the longest Tag Team reign in TNA history (380 days). They would also win Tag Team gold in Alpha-1, IWC & REVOLVER as well. Nowadays they are on their own paths, with Ethan Page in NXT, and Josh Alexander with AEW. I figured it would be cool to do a little re-visit on one of the underappreciated Tag Teams in modern history.
