Singing River's "The Christmas Guitar Kid" out on 12/18/24. The song was inspired by Chuck Berry's guitar yearning boy-child, in "Run Rudolph Run", some earnest guitar-nerd references on our own part, and let's not kid, the Tom Petty-Jeff Lynne joint "Christmas All Over Again". We hope this enjoy this little number. It was fun to make, and was brought on by my daughter's continual insistence for me to play the demo version when picking her up from school since late October. So we recorded it this month and just got it out for you. The kid in the photo with the Harmony guitar is Anthony, and was perfect for the imagery. It was written in true Christmas fashion, as I stumbled upon the song on Christmas Day of 2022. It even retains its “scratch” lead vocal. I cut the scratch guitar and vocal last Christmas, and my kid loved it, but we didn’t have enough time to record it.
